Haaland advised against Man United?

According to a recent report from Bild, Erling Haaland’s father Alf-Inge has urged him not to move to the Premier League in search of a switch to Manchester United. Instead, he seems to want his son to head on over to Germany in order to play in the Bundesliga.

The reasoning behind this is because he wants his son to be assured of a place in the starting XI, which he doesn’t feel like would be the case with United. Regardless of whether you think that’s true or not, it’s certainly interesting to note that his father is having such a notable say in where his future lies.

While we’re all for having strong people around you who can assist in big decisions such as these, that doesn’t necessarily mean listening to every word your father says is a good idea.

Erling needs to have his own mind and own opinions, and that much is obvious.
