With German football once again taking center stage in midweek, a high-flying Hannover will welcome an inconsistent Karlsruher SC to the HDI-Arena on Wednesday evening.

Starting with the hosts, appearing to have started off where they finished in March, the mood in Hannover’s camp should be at a continued high. Putting in yet another eye-catching display and picking up a 4-2 win away at Osnabrück, Kenan Kocak’s men also put in a thumping display after landing a 3-0 romp against Nurnburg on their return to action. Although Hannover might find themselves stuck in Bundesliga II limbo, the Reds have won their last three matchups on the bounce, their brightest run of the season so far. Losing just a sole matchup since the end of January and enjoying an extended purple patch in the final third, there is no doubt that Die Roten should be confident of making it four in four on Wednesday evening.

As for the visitors, while Hannover might be enjoying their most fruitful run of the season so far, the same cannot be said for Karlsruher. Playing out what was a lackluster 0-0 draw against Bochum over the weekend, the Blues have landed just a pair of second-tier victories since the end of November and open the midweek fixtures sat two points adrift of safety. Even more worrying for Head Coach Christian Eichner, his side also have a growing reputation for their issues on the road. Including a 3-1 hammering away at Heidenheim in their last matchup away from the Wildparkstadion, Wednesday’s guests have landed just a single victory on their travels throughout the 2019/2020 campaign.
