Looking to make another statement after returning to action last weekend, a high-flying Hannover will be hoping to break into the top half of the table when they travel to Osnabrück on Saturday lunchtime.

Starting with the hosts, while Osnabrück may have managed to snatch what was a dramatic late equalizer at Arminia Bielefeld last weekend, it does not cover what has been a worrying patch for Daniel Thioune’s side. Including heading into the March break on the wrong end of a 6-2 drumming against Wehen Wiesbaden, Lila-Weiß have remarkably failed to win any of their last nine Bundesliga II appearances, a run that stems back to the middle of December. Unsurprisingly, a huge part of Osnabrück’s continued issues since opening 2020 has come down to some glaring problems on home soil. Along with being hit with a 3-1 drumming at home against Sandhausen, Saturday’s hosts have managed to pick up just a sole point at Bremer Brücke in their last four outings.

As for the visitors, marking their return from the enforced break in empathic fashion and landing a stunning 3-0 romp away at Nürnberg, Hannover appear to have picked up where they left off back in March. Including landing a 3-1 win at home against Holstein Kiel prior to the break, Die Roten have lost just a sole Bundesliga II matchups in their last six appearances and have continued to shine in the final third. Knowing that victory this weekend will see them reclaim their spot in the top half of the table, Kenan Kocak’s men find the mood in their camp at the highest it has been since opening the New Year. Also landing two wins away from the HDI-Arena in their last three attempts, we’re backing Hannover to make another statement on the road this weekend.
