Hasenhuttl pleads with Ings to stay

During a recent interview, Ralph Hasenhuttl has made it clear that he wants Danny Ings to commit his future to Southampton.

Ings has been on an unbelievable run of form for a long time now with the Saints, to the point where he is one of the most obvious strikers to consider for the England national team at next year’s Euros.

Alas, after suffering a recent injury, many have questioned what his future will look like upon returning – especially now that he is entering into the final 18 months of his contract with the club.

Hasenhuttl has noted that he feels as if Ings shouldn’t throw away “something special” and that he should pursue a new long term deal.

Southampton are looking like a side who could contend for a place in the top six this season, and when Ings returns, fans won’t want talks of a departure hanging over his head.
