Havertz to ask for Bayer Leverkusen departure

According to a recent report from Bild, Kai Havertz is set to meet with Bayer Leverkusen officials in order to request a move to Premier League side Chelsea during the summer transfer window.

The proposed move that would see Havertz leave the Premier League and move over to the Bundesliga has been in the works for quite some time now, and it appears as if we’re finally in the latter stages of it being completed.

Some will argue that Chelsea already have their fair share of attacking stars on the books at Stamford Bridge, but it’s clear to see that Blues fans are excited over the prospect of this move going through.

Bayer Leverkusen will try and demand a high price for Havertz, as you’d probably expect, but the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic may force them to accept a lower bid.

Either way, it feels like the move is an inevitability at this point.
