Henry wants Smith-Rowe

According to reports in England, Thierry Henry is interested in bringing Emile Smith-Rowe over to Monaco. The teenage sensation has already scored two goals in four appearances in what is proving to be a breakout season for him, with Unai Emery seemingly doing a great job of getting the best out of him at Arsenal. Of course, Henry has taken note of this, contacting his former club over the possibility of bringing him to Ligue 1 – potentially on a loan deal.

It wouldn’t be the worst of ideas given that Smith-Rowes isn’t likely to get much time in the first team when it comes to the Premier League, with Aubameyang, Iwobi, Lacazette and Welbeck all being ahead of him in the pecking order. However, this kind of thing depends on whether or not Arsenal consider him to be one of their most valuable options for competitions such as the Carabao Cup.
