Hernandez linked with West Ham exit

Javier Hernandez could be set to leave West Ham United after just one season, according to the Daily Star.

The Mexico international signed for the Hammers on a three-year deal from Bayer Leverkusen last July but has struggled to recreate his best form since, scoring just seven goals in all competitions this season.

He featured regularly under previous manager Slaven Bilic though has started just five league games since David Moyes took charge in November with Marko Arnautovic ahead of him in the pecking order.

He has not ruled out moving on in the summer, but will first be keen to impress ahead of the World Cup in Russia.

The twenty-nine year old is his country’s top scorer after netting forty-nine times in one hundred international games and got goals at both the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa and at the tournament in Brazil four years later.
