Holding to Newcastle called off?

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Rob Holding’s proposed move from Arsenal to Newcastle United has been put on hold.

The hope from the Magpies’ point of view was that they would be able to take the defender away from the Emirates on a loan deal, but at this moment in time, Arsenal are not willing to allow him to leave.

Newcastle are still very much interested in trying to get the deal over the finish line, but they may have to wait this one out until Arsenal potentially bring in a replacement that could facilitate Holding’s departure.

He hasn’t always been pinpointed as someone that is an integral piece of the puzzle for the Gunners, but whenever he’s been given extended time in the first team, he’s impressed a lot of fans.

Now, it’s just a case of determining how much time he would get in the starting XI with Arsenal in comparison to Newcastle.
