Ibrahimovic will not be returning to AC Milan

The Italian media are reporting that Swedish superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be returning to AC Milan this winter.

In what is being reported as a sudden twist to the plot, the negotiations between Ibra and Rossoneri broke down and the towering forward is set to remain at LA Galaxy.

Sportitalia suggests the negotiations have hit a major hurdle and adds that both parties appear to be abandoning the talks completely.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was supposed to rejoin Rossoneri on a short-term loan until the end of the season with an option to extend the deal for a further season but the reasons for a sudden fallout have yet to be disclosed.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be short of options however and could still be on the move this winter despite the wholehearted efforts from LA Galaxy to keep him in the United States during the lengthy winter break.

Real Madrid have also been linked with a move for the Swede but Los Blancos seem to be looking elsewhere for winter reinforcements – towards Mauro Icardi to be precise.
