According to a recent report from Marca, Inter Milan are well placed to complete the signing of Nelson Semedo from Barcelona. We already know that there’s set to be a big piece of business that goes down between Inter and Barca over the summer, with Lautaro Martinez looking set to make his way over to the Nou Camp. Now, however, it appears as if Inter could have someone come the other way.
While Antonio Conte may not be everyone’s cup of tea, he’s the kind of manager you need if you want someone who can be fairly ruthless in negotiations. If he wants something he will go out there and get it, and if he feels as if Semedo can strengthen his team from a defensive standpoint, there’s no reason why he can’t get him.
The big question, of course, is whether he’d be featured as part of the Martinez deal in a player-plus-cash arrangement.
