According to a recent report from Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter Milan have reopened talks with Lautaro Martinez over a potential new contract with the club.
This comes in the midst of ongoing rumours suggesting that Manchester City and Chelsea are both in the running to try and sign him during the summer transfer window.
Martinez has been a revelation for Inter this season and for the last few years, but even though they’ve recently captured the Serie A title, they still face a real battle if they’re going to hold onto him.
As one of the most talked-about forwards in world football it’s only natural that Martinez is going to receive an awful lot of attention. However, with Inter proving that they can hang with the big boys, there’s a chance he may stay and see what happens in their Champions League campaign next season – provided they can keep their league energy going in Europe.
