“It’s great for us today but we have to be brutally honest” – Newcastle Steve Bruce on late penalty awarded to his team against Spurs (Video)

The season in the Premier League has just started and already there has been a number of controversial VAR decisions, all revolving around penalty decisions for handball.

On Sunday, Tottenham Hotspur led against Newcastle United for almost three quarters of the match, courtesy of a 25th-minute strike from Lucas Moura. They were clearly the better team throughout, but they ended up dropping two points through one of those decisions in the final minute of the match, when the ball hit the arm of Spurs defender Eric Dier inside the box.

Interestingly enough, the Magpies boss Steve Bruce was just as unhappy about it as his Spurs counterpart, Jose Mourinho.
