Ivan Rakitic leads Man United five-man summer shopping list

Manchester United are said to have already made plans for the summer transfer window.

The Red Devils are laying the ground for the next season and will make moves to sign no less than four players once the transfer window reopens, Daily Mail claims.

The Red Devils want to add more depth to their squad as they look to compete for major honours next season. Therefore a proper transfer offensive is expected with Ivan Rakitic said to be leading the list of potential targets.

Frenkie de Jong will move to Camp Nou in the summer and theCatalans have already indicated the Croatian’s days at the club could be numbered which alarmed a host of Europe’s biggest clubs – Manchester United and Inter Milan included.

Manchester United are also interested in Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly, Nikola Milenkovic from Fiorentina but also Atletico Madrid’s Lucas Hernandez and Juventus winger Douglas Costa.

The Premier League heavyweights are also interested in restructuring their management set-up and will also look to appoint a director of football in addition to a permanent first-team manager.

Eric Cantona has emerged as a favourite for the role while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has great chances of keeping his current job beyond the current season.
