Ivan Toney 13/10 to score anytime against Sheffield Wednesday in Wednesday’s Championship showdown

Competition: Championship

Market: Ivan Toney to score anytime

Odds: 13/10 @ 888sport

Looking to build off of their victory over the weekend, Brentford will make the trip to Hillsborough when they face the Owls on Wednesday night.

Starting with the hosts, still sat with a -4 deficit at the foot of the Championship table after their off-field issues, Sheffield Wednesday know that they must build off of Saturday’s victory if they’re to find a route out of the drop zone before time starts ticking away. However, while the Owls might have impressed after picking up a much-needed 1-0 win away at Birmingham, they have struggled to pick up maximum points over the past month. Along with crashing out of the EFL Cup thanks to a 2-0 defeat away at Premier League strugglers Fulham, Garry Monk’s men were also hit with another 2-0 defeat when they faced off against Bristol City when closing September. In for a tough task when the Bees come to town in midweek, Wednesday might still be haunted by their last meeting against the play-off hopefuls. When they traveled to West London back in March, the Owls were hit with a 5-0 drumming.

As for the visitors, while Brentford might have been left heartbroken after their play-off final defeat against bitter rivals Fulham over the summer, Thomas Frank’s men certainly bounced back from their shock defeat against Preston prior to the break. Last seen picking up a 2-0 win against Championship returners Coventry and gaining some revenge over the Cottagers on EFL Cup duties last month, there is no doubt that summer arrival Ivan Toney has impressed many in West London since making the move from Peterborough. Once again bagging a brace against Coventry over the weekend, the 24-year-old has now bagged four second-tier strikes in back-to-back appearances and should be confident of cashing in on his recent purple patch on Wednesday night at Hillsborough.

Bet: Ivan Toney 13/10 to score anytime against Sheffield Wednesday in Wednesday’s Championship showdown
