FC Tokyo continued their dream start to the J.League season with a 3-2 win over Nagoya Grampus on Saturday.

Tokyo – who were promoted from the second-tier in Japan last term – made it two wins from two with a thrilling victory against last season’s runners-up.

Keiji Tamada gave visitors Nagoya the lead after 36 minutes before Naohiro Ishikawa equalised for Tokyo on the hour mark.

Aria Jasuru Hasegawa netted eight minutes later before Ishikawa’s second goal put them 3-1 ahead.

Kensuke Nagai pulled a goal back for Nagoya to ensure a nervous final three minutes for Tokyo at the Ajinomoto Stadium.

The news is not so good for defending champions Kashiwa Reysol, who lost 1-0 to Urawa Red Diamonds after a goal from Serbian Ranko Despotovic gave them maximum points.

Vegalta Sendai, Vissel Kobe and Kawasaki Frontale also posted victories on Saturday to extend their perfect start to the season.

Goals from Shingo Akamine and Yoshiaki Ohta handed Vegalta a 2-0 win at Yokohama F. Marinos while Vissel Kobe came from behind to beat Consadole Sapparo 2-1.

Masaki Yamamoto gave Consadole the early lead after nine minutes but Gakuto Kondo levelled things up just 15 minutes later.

Ken Tokura then sealed the points for Vissel with the winner in the 83rd minute.

Kawasaki Frontale won 1-0 at Kashima Antlers thanks to a 47th-minute strike from Brazilian Renatinho.

Shimizu S-Pulse, Jubilo Iwata and Cerezo Osaka notched 2-1 home wins against Sanfrecce Hiroshima, Sagan Tosu and Gamba Osaka respectively, while Omiya Ardija won by the same scoreline at Albirex Niigata thanks to goals in the last 25 minutes from Kosuke Kikuchi and Rafael.
