Jack Wilshere has been negotiating a new deal with his club for months but has ultimately decided to leave the Emirates-based side once Unai Emery was appointed new manager. Wilshere was not given first-team assurances and has ultimately opted to leave the club.

Arsenal football club thanked Jack Wilshere for his service during the last ten years during which time the Englishmen won the FA Cup twice, in 2014 and 2015.
