Market: Jadon Sancho to score anytime
Odds: 6/4 @ 888sport
With a Champions League spot already in the bag, Borussia Dortmund will welcome Bayer Leverkusen to rural Germany on Saturday afternoon.
Starting with the hosts, only continuing to build off of their DFP Pokal success last week, Borussia Dortmund have enjoyed a real purple patch at the back end of the campaign. Last seen landing themselves a 3-1 win against Mainz and also putting four past RB Leipzig on May 13th, it is well worth keeping an eye out for the red-hot Jadon Sancho this weekend. Bagging a brace against Leipzig on DFP Pokal duties earlier in the month, the England ace has continued to impress during the second-half of the campaign. Heavily linked with a potential Premier League return this summer and forming a stellar partnership with Erling Haaland, the former Manchester City starlet has recorded four goals in his last three matchups across all formats. With 17 strikes to his name so far this season, Sancho should be looking to sign off his campaign with a flurry on Saturday.
As for the visitors, having to settle for a 1-1 draw against Union Berlin last time out, Bayer Leverkusen have the feel of a club limping their way over the finish line. Despite managing to wrap up a European spot with time to spare, Hannes Wolf’s side have gained a reputation for their extended issues on the road throughout the 2020/21 campaign. Remarkably, including a shock 3-0 drumming away at Hertha Berlin back in March, Leverkusen have landed just a single Bundesliga victory on their travels since way back in the middle of December. More concerning, Die Werkself have also failed to find the net in over 400 minutes of action away from the BayArena. Facing what should be a stern test when they sign off their year in rural Germany this weekend, we’re backing Sancho and a high-flying BVB to enjoy another free-scoring afternoon.
