Jorge Jesus on Tuesday signed a two-year deal as coach of Portuguese top flight outfit Sporting Braga, a day after resigning as coach of top flight outfit Belenenses, his new club said.

Jesus had been under contract at Belenenses until 2010 but quit after a Monday meeting with club officials.

He previously coached Estrela Amadora and Vitoria Setubal.

Portuguese media say former Brazil coach Sebastiao Lazaroni is set to take over at Belenenses on the outskirts of Lisbon as he has not extended his contract with Maritimo.

Belenenses finished the season sixth in the table with Braga eighth.
