On this day 31 years ago, April 15th 1989, 96 Liverpool supporters lost their lives in the Hillsborough disaster, one of the most tragic events in the history of sports.
Plans were afoot for a memorial service to be held at Anfield today (Wednesday), but that was not possible due to the Coronavirus situation. In light of that, manager Jurgen Klopp has sent out a message of support to everyone affected by the tragedy.
