According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Juventus are not interested in entering themselves into the race to try and sign Brazilian Philippe Coutinho. The former Liverpool star is currently on loan at Bayern Munich from Barcelona, and with the lack of creativity currently found in the Old Lady’s midfield, the belief was that they could potentially look towards Coutinho for answers.

It no longer appears as if that’s going to be the case, which could leave Coutinho without all too many options when it comes to signing for a high profile club during the summer transfer window – if and when it actually opens.

While Coutinho did get off to a positive start during his tenure in German football, he seems to have fallen off slightly as the season has gone on. Now, in this period of uncertainty, clubs have the chance to take a real look at whether or not he’s still a valuable asset to have.
