Juventus pushing for Arturo Vidal reunion

Serie A heavyweights Juventus are said to be plotting a deal that would involve bringing Arturo Vidal back from Barcelona.

According to reports coming from the French media outlet Le 10 Sport, the Biuanconeri are preparing an official offer to re-sign the Chilean midfielder during the winter transfer market.

Vidal only joined Barcelona this summer from Bayern Munich but has largely struggled to stake the claim on a spot in the first team under Ernesto Valverde.

The experienced 31-year-old has yet to complete full 90 minutes for Blaugrana but still managed to make the total of nine La Liga appearances and score two goals. Vidal was in action this weekend, playing 45 minutes and scoring a goal in his team’s pulsating 4-3 defeat at the hands of Real Betis.

Arturo Vidal could be handed his first start of the season against Atletico Madrid as Ivan Rakitic will be suspended for the occasion but Arturo Vidal’s future at Barcelona still remains in serious doubt.

The player is said to be unhappy with playing time and Juventus are reportedly prepared to offer him an escape route.
