Juventus to terminate Ramsey contract

Juventus are set to terminate Aaron Ramsey’s contract at the end of this season after Rangers, where the Welshman is currently playing on loan, made it clear they won’t be pursuing a permanent deal, according to Calciomercato.

Ramsey’s contract with Juventus will have a year left to run when he returns from Glasgow, but it seems the Serie A giants aren’t counting on him anymore.

Ramsey joined Juventus as a free agent in 2019, after his contract with Arsenal expired. He hasn’t been able to impose himself as a particularly relevant part of the team since, and this term, he made a total of just five appearances in all competitions under Massimiliano Allegri before moving to Scotland for the second half of the season.

Ramsey missed the last four games for Rangers through injury, and manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst says he cannot say when the 31-year-old midfielder will be back on the pitch.
