Khedira wants Premier League move

Sami Khedira, who had already expressed his admiration for the Premier League to German outlet Bild, has now informed his employers Juventus he wishes to continue his career in England’s top flight, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Plenty of media across Europe see the increasingly likely move of Emre Can from Liverpool to Juventus as a perfect opportunity for Khedira to go the other way as Jürgen Klopp seeks to replace the wantaway midfielder. Having won the league title in Germany, Spain and Italy, Khedira aims to complete his admirable collection with a Premier League title.

The Champions League finalists also aim to grow into proper title-contenders next season. RB Leipzig’s Naby Keita will join them on July 1, and if they fail to land a contract extension with Can, Khedira would certainly be a valuable replacement.

Meanwhile, the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal are also likely to need a player like Khedira this summer.
