Koeman close to Barcelona exit

According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman would’ve been dismissed if they’d have lost to Cadiz.

They did wind up managing to hold onto a 0-0 draw with 10 men, very much against the odds given the trajectory of the game, but it definitely seems as if Koeman is edging closer and closer towards the trap door.

There are plenty more games left to go this season but it’s clear to see Barca aren’t exactly doing well when compared to the expectations put in front of them. Even within the context of all the struggles they’ve been through they probably would’ve been tipped to accomplish more than they have done and in the midst of a rebuilding period, it’s never a good sign when there’s this much discontent between the manager and the rest of the club.

Given how everything has panned out since Koeman came in this seems, if nothing else, like an inevitability.
