Lambert welcomes Hutton interest

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert has said that he will listen to loan offers for defender Alan Hutton, Sky Sports understands.

The 28 year old’s only appearances so far this season have come for Scotland, having been completely frozen out of the first team picture at Villa Park.

Having made 31 Premier League appearances in his first season with the Midlands club, he was shipped out on loan last year, first to Nottingham Forest and then to La Liga side Mallorca.

His manager at Villa will not stand in the way of the right-back if an offer comes in for him, and refused to be drawn on speculation that potential suitors are being put off my his Premier League wage packet.

Hutton began his career with Rangers, where he made almost a hundred league appearances before switching to Tottenham Hotspur in 2008.

He also had a brief spell with Sunderland at the end of the 2009/10 campaign before moving to Villa the following year.
