Lampard open to Championship switch

“I would take a view on going into the Championship,” Lampard said.

“If it was the right club, the right project for sure. I don’t have an ego where I feel just because I’ve managed in the Champions League, that’s the be all and end all. My year at Derby was such an enjoyable year.”

In an interview with Daily Mirror, Frank Lampard has confirmed that he would consider joining a Championship club under the right set of circumstances.

Lampard has been out of a job since departing from his role as Chelsea manager back in January and now, he’s keeping an eye out for his next position.

Some have suggested that he could go to Crystal Palace in the wake of Roy Hodgson’s departure, whereas others feel as if a return to the Championship – where he almost gained promotion with Derby County – would be a better idea at this point in his managerial career.
