Leon Bailey linked with Premier League move

Bayer Leverkusen star striker Leon Bailey has emerged as one of the highest rated footballers in Bundesliga following his impressive debut season with Die Werkself.

The 20-year-old has made 33 Bundesliga appearances since moving to Bayer Leverkusen from Genk 15 months ago, while he also raked up 9 goals during that time.

A number of Europe’s top clubs have been alerted by his burgeoning form in the Bundesliga with Premier League giants Manchester United and Chelsea believed to be keeping close tabs on the Bayer Leverkusen hotshot.

His future with the German club has been brought into question most recently with his agent taking aim at Bayer Leverkusen on social media after his protegee was left on the substitute bench in his team’s DFB Pokal semifinal clash with Bayern Munich.

Heiko Herlick decided to rest Bailey for the crucial top-four showdown with Borussia Dortmund on Saturday but brought him on in the second half and the Jamaican replied by scoring a goal in his team’s 6-2 defeat.

Bayer Leverkusen now turn their focus back to Bundesliga where they stand at 1/41 to make it into the top 4 at the end of the season.
