Hansi Flick hopes Lamine Yamal’s injury is not “serious”, after the teenage sensation was forced off during Barcelona’s victory over Celta Vigo.
The Blaugrana moved nine points clear at the LaLiga summit with six games remaining, following a 1-0 win at the Camp Nou.
However, the victory was marred by injury to Yamal, who hobbled off shortly after scoring what proved to be the decisive goal from the penalty spot.
The severity of the 18-year-old’s injury remains to be seen, though early reports suggest it is a hamstring problem.

“We’ll have to see what happens [on Thursday] with Lamine,” said Flick, who also saw Joao Cancelo limp off on Wednesday.
“With a clear diagnosis. It’s not easy, we have to accept it. Just like Joao. Let’s hope they aren’t serious injuries.”
Barca took one of only two big chances to maintain the longest active scoring streak (52 matches, 137 goals) in the top five European leagues and their longest in the competition since October 2013 (64 matches, 198 goals).
Yamal, meanwhile, has scored 16 goals in LaLiga in 2025-26; David Villa in 2010-11 (18) is the only Spanish player to score more league goals for Barca in a single season since the turn of the century.
On the game, the Barca boss added: “We’re happy. We had to suffer a lot today. Celta played very well. The first half was very difficult, different from what we expected. In the end, the important thing is that we got the three points.
“We usually control the game. They pressed us high up the pitch with a lot of intensity. It’s not easy to create play and chances. We lost possession a few easy times, and it wasn’t good for us.”
