Liverpool go after Coutinho

According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Liverpool are still pushing to re-sign Philippe Coutinho in a cut-price deal this summer.

The belief is that they’ve now asked Barcelona about the deal on several occasions but, understandably, Barca seem hesitant about the idea of selling Coutinho back to the club they bought him from – and for a lower price, too.

The Brazilian is clearly searching for a new direction in his career but as of this writing, it’s still unclear as to whether or not that’ll come in Spain, England or elsewhere.

Coutinho enjoyed the best days of his career up to this point at Anfield but there have been signs, perhaps infrequently, that he could have the same success at the Nou Camp.

Whether or not that will actually come to fruition is another matter altogether but there’s definitely a chance – if the man himself is to be believed, that is.
