Liverpool plan to offload Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

Liverpool plan to let Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain leave next summer when his current contract runs out, according to Football Insider. The report has claimed that Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp does not see Oxlade-Chamberlain as part of his long-term plans, and that the club do not plan to keep him at Anfield beyond his current deal.

Although Liverpool do not plan to hand a new deal to the former Arsenal star, they are unlikely to accept a transfer fee, even a low one, for the Englishman in the January transfer window. Instead, Oxlade-Chamberlain is set to run down his contract and leave Liverpool on a free transfer next summer.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has had injury problems throughout his time at Liverpool, and there is no surprise that Liverpool do not plan to keep him at the club. The former Arsenal star is 29 now, and on a free transfer, he could be a good signing for mid-ranking club in the Premier League.
