Liverpool ready to move for Hart

Metro understands that Liverpool have been given the green light to sign England international goalkeeper Joe Hart.

The 30 year old is currently on loan at Serie A side Torino after Pep Guardiola decided that he wanted to begin his tenure as Manchester City manager with Claudio Bravo as his first choice shot-stopper.

He has made thirty-one appearances in all competitions so far this season, keeping just four clean sheets but has retained the England number one jersey and is yet to concede in qualification for next summer’s World Cup finals in Russia.

A stay in Italy for the former Shrewsbury Town man seems unlikely so a whole host of clubs are monitoring the situation, with Liverpool at the front of the cue.

The Reds currently have Loris Karius and Simon Mignolet battling for a starting berth, with former Arsenal keeper Alex Manninger also part of Jurgen Klopp’s first team squad.
