According to a recent report from Fichajes, Liverpool are interested in trying to sign Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong.
The way in which his mood has been described right now is ‘unsettled’ and during the summer transfer window, he was heavily linked with a switch to Manchester United.
The Dutchman, however, wasn’t able to reach an agreement with the club, although Erik ten Hag is still keen to bring the 25-year-old to Old Trafford.
While he has made a string of appearances for Barca so far this season, a lot of pundits still feel as if he isn’t doing enough to gain a consistent place in the first team – at least, not in the starting XI directly.
The Red Devils were busy enough during the most recent transfer window and now, Liverpool are the clubs knocking at the door, which makes a lot of sense given how many issues they’ve been having in the middle of the park.
