Liverpool still interested in Pepe

According to a recent report from L’Equipe, Liverpool are considering the possibility of making an offer for Lille star Nicolas Pepe. The Reds are said to be interested in putting forward an offer of around £71 million for the 24 year old, who has also been heavily linked with the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal. Pepe is widely considered to be one of the most intriguing stars in European football today, which is why there is so much interest in him at this moment in time. Liverpool are coming off the back of a season in which they were able to become Champions of Europe for the sixth time, so you’d have to imagine they’ve got a bit more about them in the eyes of Pepe in comparison to United and Arsenal – both of whom are going to be playing Europa League football next season. Alas, if Pepe isn’t guaranteed a place in Liverpool’s starting XI, then there is a good chance he will start to look elsewhere.
