Lokomotiv defender moves to Rubin Kazan

Russian champions Rubin Kazan have completed the signing of defender Oleg Kuzmin for an undisclosed fee from domestic rivals Lokomotiv Moscow. Kuzmin, 29, has signed a three year contract with Rubin that will see him stay with the club till 2013.

Kuzmin, a Spartak Moscow youth product, was with the club till 2001 before joining FC Uralan Elista. He had a short loan spell with Chernomorets before signing for FC Moscow in 2004. He made over a hundred appearances for FC Moscow before transferring to Lokomotiv last year.

Rubin won the RPL last season, but are currently third this season, ten points behind leaders Zenit St.Petersburg
