Man City agree deal for Ilkay Gundogan

Manchester City are set to wrap up the deal for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan, Kicker has suggested.

The Germany international has long been on the Citizens radar, and the latest reports suggest an agreement has been reached.

According to Kicker, Borussia Dortmund have accepted a €25 million bid for the highly rated footballer, who should soon seal a switch to Etihad Stadium.

Gundogan is thus set to become the first signing of new Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, who is also keen on Benfica goalkeeper Ederson Moraes.

The highly rated footballer is set to miss the Euro 2016 finals through injury, but he should recover in time for the new season.

Borussia Dortmund had no choice but to accept the latest offer for his services due to the fact that Gundogan’s current contract is due to expire in a year’s time, and he appears to have set his sights on leaving.
