Man United to bid for Milinkovic-Savic

According to a recent report from Sky Italy, Manchester United are preparing to put forward a bid of around £72 million in order to try and secure the signing of Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. The belief is that the Italian club want £90 million for the 24 year old star, and don’t want to lower the asking price. Milinkovic-Savic is very interested in the idea of leaving Lazio for pastures new, but not to the point where he’s going to try and force the issue. He’s also open to the idea of staying at Lazio for another season, which could lead to United being priced out of the deal.

They’ll almost certainly have the funds necessary to push on and offer even more money for the midfielder, but that may not be what they’re willing to do. Instead, they may choose to utilise their resources elsewhere, as they continue to try and bolster their squad ahead of what is going to be a vital season for the club.
