Man United to trigger Pellegrini’s release clause?

According to reports in England, Manchester United could be set to wait it out with Lorenzo Pellegrini after learning that they will be able to trigger his £26.5 million release clause – but only if they wait to put a bid forward at the end of the current season. It’s no secret that Jose Mourinho is looking for answers in the here and now in order to just survive until the end of the campaign, but if he’s thinking long term, then he’ll likely postpone this move for the sake of practicality.

Pellegrini would serve as a great addition to United’s side at Old Trafford, and at the age of just 22, he still has plenty of time left to grow. He’s had a solid season with Roma in Serie A so far this season, whereas United have left a lot to be desired courtesy of some of their results in the Premier League.
