Manchester City and Chelsea to reach Raheem Sterling agreement

Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Chelsea and Manchester City are set to reach an agreement over Raheem Sterling in the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano. The well-known and well-respected journalist has claimed that Sterling has accepted Chelsea as his next destination for weeks now and has also held direct talks with head coach Thomas Tuchel.

Manchester City, who won the Premier League title last season, are willing to sell Sterling this summer, according to Romano, who has added that the Citizens will agree a final fee of around £45 million with the Blues. Sterling will then move to Stamford Bridge on a permanent deal.

Sterling made 23 starts and seven substitute appearances in the Premier League for City last season, scoring 13 goals and providing five assists in the process. The England international, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or a winger, has scored 109 goals in 320 Premier League appearances so far in his career.
