Manchester City can’t afford Mbappe?

According to a recent report from The Athletic, Manchester City have been priced out of the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe.

While it seems bizarre to think City could ever possibly be priced out of a signing, this does seem to indicate PSG are asking clubs to go above and beyond the call of duty in the name of signing the esteemed Frenchman.

He’s already accomplished a lot at this early stage of his career but with so many years left ahead of him, it’s vital that he makes the right choice when it comes to his future.

City have been heavily linked with the signing of Lionel Messi in recent times but if they wind up going down the Mbappe route, that could open up the door for all kinds of possibilities. Either way, if this report is to be believed, they aren’t going anywhere fast with this deal.
