Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho should have been sent off together with PSG’s Angel Di Maria – Arsene Wenger (Video)

There was a controversial moment in the 69th minute of Manchester City’s 2-0 triumph over Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League semifinals on Tuesday, when PSG’s Angel Di Maria reacted to what was a clear provocation from City midfielder Fernandinho and earned a straight red card.

Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, now FIFA’s Chief of Global Football Development, believes Fernandinho should have been sent off as well.

Here’s a footage of the incident itself. It’s quite obvious Di Maria deserved the red card, but Fernandinho’s behaviour certainly wasn’t innocent either.
