According to a recent report from Sunday Mirror, Manchester City consider Erling Haaland to now be their number one transfer target in the summer transfer window.
At one point it was going to be Lionel Messi who was the main man for City to pursue but now, it’s Erling Haaland.
Sergio Aguero is set to leave during the summer but City are almost certainly going to dip back into the market in the next few months – and if they add Haaland into the mix, there’s an argument to be made that they would be completely unstoppable.
Pep Guardiola will know the unbelievable record that Haaland has for Borussia Dortmund in terms of his goalscoring and if he can implement that into the Premier League, there’s no telling what he can achieve.
City are already one of the best teams in world football and that has to appeal to someone like Haaland – or, so you’d think.
