Manchester City want Modric?

According to a recent report from El Nacional, Manchester City are eyeing up a possible move to sign Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric next summer.

The former Tottenham Hotspur star has spent the last few years carving out a real legacy for himself as one of the best midfielders of his generation – with 2018 serving as a prime example of what he can do for both club and country.

City will know and understand that Modric probably only has a few years left at the elite level. Alas, while that doesn’t typically seem to be the route Pep Guardiola goes down, he does appear to have his heart set on making this happen – or at least trying.

City came up short in many departments during the most recent summer transfer window and if they want to make a splash of a different kind next year, this could be just the transfer to do it.
