Manchester United eyeing Alderweireld

The Mail Online understands that Manchester United are considering a move for Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld.

The Belgium international, who is currently working his way back to full fitness following a hamstring injury, is stalling over a new deal with the North London outfit.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino has no intentional of parting company with the centre-back who has been a key part of Spurs rise over the past two-and-a-half seasons.

Alderweireld moved to Tottenham from Ajax in the summer of 2015 following a season-long-loan with Southampton where he first worked with his current maanger.

Since arriving at the club he has racked up one hundred and nine appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals.

Spurs came from two goals down to secure an impressive draw against Juventus in the first leg of their Champions League last-sixteen tie and they can now be backed at a price of 4/11 to qualify for the quarter finals.
