Manchester United lose interest in Longstaff

According to a recent report from Manchester Evening News, Manchester United have lost interest in attempting to sign Newcastle United star Sean Longstaff.

Longstaff, who is believed to be priced at around £50 million, was a major target for the Red Devils during last summer’s transfer window. Ever since then there has been a great deal of speculation as to whether or not he would make the jump over to Old Trafford during this year’s summer window, but if this report is to be believed, that isn’t on the cards right now.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is being given a chance to build for the future right now, and if he’s able to take that opportunity leading into the summer, then there’s a very good chance that he’s going to be given the money necessary to make some serious moves.

It goes without saying at this stage that Longstaff doesn’t qualify for that.
