Manchester United pursue Calhanoglu

According to a recent report from Bild, Manchester United are the frontrunners to complete the signing of Hakan Calhanoglu.

The AC Milan star is believed to be 90% on his way to Old Trafford during the summer transfer window, but with Juventus also still being in the mix, there’s a chance that may change over the course of the next few months.

He’s out of contract by the time next summer actually rolls around, and while Milan may be flying high in Italy right now, it doesn’t seem as if Calhanoglu is all too invested in the idea of staying there.

Manchester United need to mix things up in the next few months if they’re serious about a sustained push for the top four, and if they’re able to lock down someone like Calhanoglu, he could be one of the catalysts behind that change – but there are a lot of ifs and buts in that equation.
