Manchester United reject Barcelona’s Pogba bid

According to Sky Italia, Manchester United have rejected a bid from Barcelona for midfielder Paul Pogba. The Spanish giants are believed to have made a cash plus player offer for the World Cup winner, with the specific deal said to be £45 million plus Andre Gomes and Yerry Mina for Pogba. The Colombian defender, Mina, was said to be on the verge of a move to Everton, although Barcelona may be holding out on that in order to try and facilitate this move.

Whilst the English summer transfer window is set to close in a matter of days, the same can’t be said over in Spain, meaning that Barca will have until August 31st to try and sign Pogba if they so desire. The 25-year-old’s turbulent relationship with United manager Jose Mourinho is said to be one of the big factors behind him considering the possibility of leaving Old Trafford once again.
