Manchester United want Weghorst

According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Manchester United are interested in trying to sign striker Wout Weghorst.

Weghorst is currently out on loan with Besiktas from Burnley, however, the Red Devils are believed to have made contact with the Lancashire side to find out more about a possible deal.

However, such a move would require Besiktas to also agree to cut his loan deal short.

United are clearly very eager to bring a forward into the mix in this team and it’s easy to understand why. They’ve been on a strong run of form but aside from Marcus Rashford, nobody is consistently putting the ball in the back of the net.

If they put their trust in a man who scored twice in a World Cup quarter-final, showcasing that he belongs on the big stage, perhaps they can really start to think about just how special this season could be.
