Manchester United watching Lucas Digne

TalkSport is reporting that Manchester United are keeping close tabs on Lille defender Lucas Digne.

The talented full-back attracted attention of the Premier League giants at the start of the current season and the Red Devils have since had him watched on a number of occasions.

Sir Alex Ferguson and his scouting team believe Digne would be a very good replacement for Patrice Evra and could be making an official bid for the player’s services at the end of the season.

Digne, 19, has come through the youth ranks at Lille and he managed to earn a regular starting berth shortly after getting promoted to the first team set-up.

The left-back has made a total of 37 Ligue 1 appearances for les Dogues, but has yet to score a league goal for Rudi Garcia’s side.

He is currently a member of France Under-19 side and has featured in all six games for les Bleus at the 2012 Under-19 European Championship in Estonia.
