Manchester United went after Fati

According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Manchester United put forward an offer to try and sign Barcelona’s Ansu Fati last summer.

The deal was said to be worth around €150 million, and yet while Fati is certainly worth that kind of money, Barca weren’t interested in letting him go.

He’s starting to get a real reputation for himself as the next big thing in world football and with the Spanish giants losing part of their edge both domestically and in Europe, you’d have to wonder whether or not this is a deal that will come back around in the future.

Manchester United are technically still in the Premier League title race this season but many expect next year to be when they really flourish, and if they’re serious about doing so, bringing in someone like Fati will definitely help them along in that journey given his age and abilities.
