Marcelo desperate for Juventus move

Real Madrid star defender Marcelo is said to be desperately looking for a chance to reunite with his best friend Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Brazilian left-back was widely linked with Juventus this summer but ended up staying at Santiago Bernabeu as the Serie A title holders failed to sell Alex Sandro during summer.

Several reports from Spain, picked up by Daily Mirror, claim that Marcelo is now eyeing a Turin move at the ‘earliest opportunity’ – January in other words.

The 30-year-old defender joined Real Madrid in 2007 and wasted no time in grabbing the spotlight with his impressive performances for Los Blancos. During his 11-year spell at Santiago Bernabeu, Marcelo won 4 La Liga titles and as many Champions League medals.

He enjoyed a close relationship with Cristiano Ronaldo during the past nine years both on the professional and personal level.

Marcelo is said to be enjoying a rocky relationship with Real Madrid new boss Julen Lopetegui which is being mentioned as another reason why the Brazilian is seeking a January departure away from Madrid.
